aimodel.directory exists to answer factual questions about AI models (how big is the context window, what does it cost, who serves it, is it open, when did that change) with figures you can check. New models ship weekly and prices move constantly; most comparisons go stale within days. We re-check every source daily and keep a dated record of every change.

Editor

The directory is edited by Rob Heat, who also runs AInformed, a daily AI news digest. The editor reviews data conflicts the automated checks cannot settle and approves all editorial copy.

Independence

We do not accept payment for listings, rankings or coverage. If that changes, for example through referral links, it will be disclosed on every affected page and will never affect which models appear or in what order.
